After a year of what felt like the worst job in the world I can finally put my feet up and relax for the next 10 days. Not only did I make it through it all but I managed a bunch of achievements I never thought possible:
- Although the work van was an ugly piece of junk I didn't crash it or receive any traffic fines.
- Failed to resign two times and made it stick on the third attempt.
- Didn't take a single sick day and had my remaining two weeks of holiday time paid out.
- Learned to compartmentalise friends.
- Didn't punch, strangle, shoot, stab or push my boss in front of truck.
- Was not responsible for the biggest screw up of the year, that award goes to the boss.
- Lost a lot of weight and trained my body to do 50 sit ups and run over a kilometer in 7 minutes.
- Developed a whole lot more patience.
- Didn't sleep with anyone I worked with or anyone in the building.
- Learned how to make a box.
- Paid the car, credit card and state debt fines off. Even managed to save a few thousand dollars.
- Fell in love.
- Made it to the very last day. The very last hour, in fact.
