@Robert: Yeah, that was something I did a very long time ago; I used to put way too much sugar in and on everything. Now if there is sugar in my coffee (not that I drink the stuff anymore) I just can't drink it.

Neither diet nor exercise alone worked for me, I needed both. I have been slacking recently on exercising since moving to the new house but I need to get back on that.

One thing that really helped me lose weight was cutting out sugar. I stopped putting it on my cereal, in coffee and I cut out pop almost entirely. A can of pop is the equivalent of liquid candy bars.

My need for sugar has decreased; sugary pies, cakes, and pastries now look unappetizing to me and I feel less compelled to shove them in my mouth.
